Frequently Asked Questions

What practical support can I give to a client who is interested in applying for the Apprenticeship Scheme?

Candidates don't need to have been employed in the past, but the people who are typically successful at gaining a place on the scheme have usually spent their last 12 months productively. For example, they might have volunteered, had unpaid work placement, attended a college course, been actively involved in a client involvement group, such as St Mungo's Broadway Outside In, attended activities in their project or local area, or improved their IT or literacy skills. Keyworkers can support clients to identify development needs including gaps in skills and experience and signpost them to appropriate services to meet these needs.
